The story continues

We want to help make the Vision of creating ‘An Active Nation Where Everyone Can Have a Lifelong Enjoyment of Sport’ a reality.

The Welsh sport sector will play an important part in this but so will many other bodies, agencies and individuals who can, or could, play a part in getting more people active.

There is lots of good work happening already and we want to build on the successful aspects of the current approaches to community sport and activity – bringing people together to plan for the long term.

What’s Next?

The Community Sport and Activity Programme (CSAP) is a new approach to the development of sport and activity in Wales.

The programme started in north Wales and there’s been significant progress in taking it forward.

Following approval by the Sport Wales Board we are moving to the Expression of Interest stage in creating new Sport Partnerships across the rest of Wales. An Information Memorandum is available by visiting and searching ‘Sport Wales.

To further support partners’ understanding and to provide the opportunity to ask questions, Sport Wales will be holding a series of Partnership Development Days in October.

The events will include the following:

– A refresh on the Outcomes we are looking to achieve
– An overview of the requirements at the Expression of Interest stage
– A summary of the next stages of the process
– A chance to engage with other partners interested in coming on this exciting journey
